The Center for Care and Special Education in the City of Copenhagen works every day to ensure that adults with disabilities have a good, meaningful and independent life.
The City of Copenhagen's two new snoezel rooms will, with the help of a number of different welfare technology solutions, activate the body's senses and give citizens with disabilities an experience beyond the ordinary.
The term snoezel is composed of two Dutch words: "doezelen", which means to doze, and "snuffelen", which means to sniff. A snoezelrum is thus a sensory room, which allows for both calming and awakening stimulation of all the body's senses.
